Draft Order

The Draft order for next year is set. The order is: 1) Owens, 2) Craun, 3) Gass, 4) Timmy, 5) Dusty, 6) Clay, 7) JJ, 8) Hawkins, 9) Tommy, 10) Ben Morris, 11) Embry, 12) Willis.

You can see picks that have been traded under the transactions page on the Yahoo league site. Once the season is over, trading will be allowed again -- you won't be able to do it on the website or app but if you let me know I'll keep up with it on my spreadsheet and process it in August when it's time to start the league back up.

If anybody has any questions now or anytime during the offseason just let me know.

New keeper rules and a couple notes regarding pick trading

We're going to make a change to the keeper rules for the draft next year. Instead of requiring everyone to have exactly 17 keepers, you'll now have the choice of keeping anywhere from 12-18 players.

Also, this season you'll be able to trade any of your 22 picks for the following draft (instead of only the 5 rounds where we draft new players like last year). That will allow y'all to have more early round picks (which was not possible under current rules). 

Since Yahoo requires everyone to have same number of draft slots trades still must involve an equal number of picks going both ways.

Today Ben Morris traded the 1st pick in round 1, (pick 1.01), to Tommy for Larry Fitzgerald, Ronnie Hillman, and the 11th pick in round 2, (pick 2.11).  The updated draft order is as follows:

Rosters and Waivers for 2016

We're looking at a couple rules tweaks for year two based on some feedback I got last year.  They are:

1. Waiver system - only complaint I got last year was about the waiver system. A few teams felt like they weren't getting a chance at decent free agents and I can understand the frustration. I think it'll be best to adopt the system used in the Inflatable Dates league.

2. Roster positions - there really aren't enough RBs in the league to justify requiring 36 RBs be started every week in fantasy. This was an oversight on my part when I was setting up the league and I think we should just switch that to a flex.

The draft order for year 2 will be based on worst-to-first records from year 1. Playoff results have no bearing on draft order. The draft will be non-snake; in other words, each round will run in the same order, (from worst-to-first). Draft slots for 2016 are as follows (with records and tie-breakers):
